Hi, I'm Valeria Ruiz!
As a first-generation Colombian immigrant raised in New York City, I learned very quickly through watching my own mother navigate life in a new country away from the people she loved and the comfort of stability that the key to survival was to be adaptable, open-minded, and resourceful – qualities that I believe have shaped me into a well-rounded designer today.
My exposure to diverse cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds nurtured my curiosity and empathy. I learned the importance of integrity and authenticity – values that guide how I listen, collaborate, and design. I believe impactful design goes beyond aesthetics; it tells meaningful stories, connects with people, and creates experiences that feel honest and human.
